Moscow Exchange to launch trade in wheat futures in November
MOSCOW, Aug 14 (PRIME) -- The Moscow Exchange plans to launch trade in deliverable futures for wheat in November, Arseny Glazkov, director of the bourse’s department for the derivatives market, said on Friday during the exchange’s symposium.
“We plan to launch deliverable futures for wheat in November. All the documents are ready. There is demand for this instrument from the producing economy, there is a partner in the form of a group of companies that comprises exporters and ports. It is ready to become a market maker for the instrument. Several grain elevators in the Voronezh Region will become the delivery basis, our work with them is at the final testing stage,” he said.
The bourse will also launch futures for the U.S. and European stock indices at the beginning of 2021, he added.
